The Drip of Memories is an installation art expressing the idea of reminiscence and transformation of old memories. Memories with missing details or memories that faded as time went by but remained in our minds.
Traces of interaction are captured in the photograph to emphasize the idea of the ‘past’, that things no longer exist. The films are soaked in bleach for different amounts of time (the older, the longer), the same way time affects our memories. The stains on the sheet are the colors that got washed from the photograph and dripped down to the sheet, illustrating the idea of memories that we recall but sometimes in different forms (color, scent, sound, emotion, etc.) The photographs are ordered from newest to oldest to give the audience an experience of walking back through the ‘memories’.
